Royal Avon Back At Riccarton
Royal Avon and Med bury, both trained by C. G. Humphries, arrived back at Riccarton from Trentham yesterday. Royal Avon was sixth in the W°'lington Guineas on Saturday. He Improved a few places from the home turn, but was beaten off. and plans to run him in the Harcourt Stakes on the third day of the Wellington meeting were then abandoned.
Medbury was eliminated from a hack race on the first day of the meeting. He did not do well on the trip.
