J. R. Pirret Has A verage Of 2ft 3in (Neu Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, September 2. J. R. Pirret, the New Zealand singles bowling champion, gave a long-awaited test of his drawing skill, in this case against no opponent, at the Carlton Bowling Club’s green today. Pirret was competing in the world drawing competition. The total of his distances from the jack over five ends, which meant that he bowled 20 bowls, was 45ft 3|in, which gave him an average of 2ft 3in for each shot.
