Inquiry Into Loss Of Scow

(New Zealana Press Association) AUCKLAND. September 2. Three divers, working on a “nc cure, no pay” basis, had not b_en able to find the sunken scow. Lena, which floundered on the night of May 15 with the loss of si lives, the Marine Court of Inquiry was told at its resumed sitting in Auckland today. A statement by an Auckland skin diver, Mr L. W. Subritzky, was produced. He said that two boats had swept over the area for three days and a half and three divers had searched without success. The Court consists of Mr L. G. H. Sinclair, S.M., with Captain W. J Keane and Captain J. W. Brown as assessors. The Court adjourned again until next Monday so that the sole survivor, Mr Arthur Leo Doherty, and Mr William Briggs, who had made earlier trips in the scow, could be recalled to answer further points made by the Court. - t
