Climbers Found Dead In Alps
SALZfiURG. August 29. Three of eight missing climbers were found dead today on the Wisenbackhorn mountain in Austria. Four others . were recued and a man is still missing. The climbers —believed to be Austrian youths—had started to climb the mountain by the Grossglookner Glacier yesterday. They had to give up when exhausted and spent the night in the open in a snow: :orm. A British tourist, Miss Cynthia Mary Norman, aged 29; collapsed and died on a climbing tour in the Zillertaler Alps hear Innsbruck, Austria, yesterday. Miss Norman and a party 61 tourists had climbed the 8000 ft Wlldlahnscharte when a snowstorm broke.
’ A German climber was killed and two others were stranded on the 10,000 ft Marmolada near Trento, nqrthdrn Italy, today. Another Gerrhan wa killed and his climbing companion died of cold and hunger on the same mountain last week.
