Beef Prices Again Reduced
Export beef prices for all grades of frozen beef killed in the South Island have been reduced 5s per 1001 b. The reduction—the second in successive weeks—came into force yesterday. Baby ox beef, 4001 b to 6401 b, is now 90s per 1001 b, as is g.a.q. ox beef, under 8001 b. Good average quality cow and f.a.q. cow are 655.
Boner cow and boner bull remain at 80s and 85s respectively. No deficiency payments are payable this week, according to an announcement last night from the l Meat Export Prices Committee.
