BULLER BEATEN, 16-3

King Country Too Strong

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 4. In an uninspiring game at Taumarunui yesterday King Country beat Buller by 16 points to J. The King Country forwards, led by the AU Black C. Meads, gave King Country a territorial advantage for the greater part of the game. The Buller forwards were not outclassed, however, and in the rucks the packs were on even terms. The backs on both sides kicked too much and the handling was poor. The best move of the day came in the last five minutes when J. McQuilkin, King Country five-eighths, cut through and the baU went out to T. Kenny, the wing-threequarter, who shot infield to score beside the post. For King Country T. Kenny (2) and J. Adam, and K. Sanson scored tries, and W. Coffin converted two. R. Burrows scored for Buller.
