They will be in New Zealand for 12 days as the ‘guests of the New Zealand Law Society and will visit Christchurch, Wellington, Hamilton and Rotorua. Lord Morton, who has had a distinguished career as a judge, has been attending a legal convention in Austrajia. He said he bad come to New Zealand “to meet his legal brethren and to see the country.” In Wellington, he will lunch with the Prime Minister (Mr Holland? and the Cabinet and will meet the Chief Justice (Sir Harold Barrowclough). As a member of the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, Lord Morton is sometimes associated with New Zealand cases which go to England on appeal. Lord and Lady Morton * sail from Auckland in the Oronsay on August 16.
