Charges Against 892 African Women

(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) STANDERTON, (Transvaal), July 12. A Standerton Magistrate’s Court will hear charges against 892 African women rising from a public demonstration outside the Court earlier this week. The women were protesting against the issuing of passes to African women. Nearly all African men m South Africa have to carry passes, and recent Government legislation has extended the law to African women.
