Thirty-eight men have been invited and close to 30 are expected. Lord Bertrand Russell, the British philosopher and mathematician, will head the group.

Four Soviet scientists arrived last night. Twelve United States scientists and scholars have been asked and five from Britain, three from Germany and two each from Canada, India and Japan. Others are expected from Australia, Austria, Brazil, Communist China, Denmark, France and Poland. The list includes four Nobel prize-winners.
