QUEEN MOTHER’S TOUR

(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) BULAWAYO (Southern Rhodesia), July 6. The Queen Mother said that she was deeply moved during the hour she spent today among the crippled and handicapped children at the King George VI Memorial Centre. The Queen Mother, who is on a tour of Southern Rhodesia, unveiled a commemorative plaque at the centre and described it as a “living and wonderful memorial” to her late husband.

Later, the Queen Mother received a rousing reception as she drove through a gaily decorated Bulawayo to Government House where she will attend a State banquet followed by a reception tonight.
