Papers presented at New Zealand’s first farm safety course held at Canterbury Agricultural College, Lincoln, last month are likely to have world-wide distribution. One of the lecturers at the course, Mr G. Lindsay, lecturer in agricultural engineering at the college, who presented a paper on farm safety in European countries outside Britain, plans tq send copies of the papers presented at the conference to countries which supplied him with information for his address. They include Germany, Switzerland, Finland, Sweden, Spain, Holland, Belgium, and Denmark.

Mr G. V. Williams, field officer for the Canterbury branch of the National Safety Association, said that about 150 to 200 copies

of the papers would be distributed. Apart from the 29 young farmers who attended the course about 34 more young farmers who have been appointed safety officers within the New Zealand Federation of Young Farmers* Clubs are also receiving copies.
