The Above Rate will be made under the provisions of Sections 12 and 14 of “The Canterbury Museum Trust Board Act, 1947,” “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1954." and “The Rating Act, 1925.” to meet contributions payable to the Canterbury Museum Trust Board. 7 As to the WHOLE CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH (the boundaries of which are defined in the New Zealand Gazette No. 43, page 1094 of July 7. 1955, under the provisions of Section 95 of "The Municipal Corporations Act. 1954," "The Rating Act, 1925,” Section 31, "Finance Act, 1922,” Water Rates as follows: (a) Upon all Lands and Buildings described in the above area to which water is supplied: (1) Where the Annual Rateable Value does not exceed £l2 10s a rate of ONE POUND (£1). (2) Where the Annual Rateable Value exceeds £l2 10s a Rate of TWO POUNDS (£2) per centum on such value provided that in no case shall the rate for ordinary supply be less than £1 per annum as provided for in Section 538 of “The Christchurch By-law No. 1.” (b) Upon All Lands and Buildings within the Water Rating Area as above described to which water can be but is not supplied, situate within one hundred yards from any part of the waterworks, a Rate of ONE-HALF of the Water Rates above-mentioned. (c) Upon All Lands and Buildings within the Water Rating Area as above described to which water is supplied used as stores or warehouses or for any purposes other than as dwelling-houses, a Rate of ONE POUND (£1) per centum on the Annual Rateable Value. (d) Upon All Lands and Buildings within the Water Rating Area as above described used as stores or warehouses or for any purposes other than as dwelling-houses to which water can be but is not supplied situated within one hundred yards from any part of the waterworks, a Rate of TEN SHILLINGS (10s) per centum on the Annual Rateable Value.
