CORNET INVOLUNTARY.—No member of the R.N.Z.A.F. guard of honour which paraded for the Governor-General yesterday was guilty of dropping his rifle, but a member of the band did forget to retrieve a cornet before his Excellency’s inspection. The delicacy of the situation is clearly reflected in the worried expression of the commander of the guard (Flight Lieutenant R. R. Black), but nothing untoward occurred.
