Boy Drowned In Flooded Creek

(New Zealand. Press Association) NAPIER, June 26. A seven-year-old boy was drowned in Butler’s Creek, about three miles from Tikokino, late yesterday afternoon. He was: John William Moss, son of Mr and Mrs F. W. Moss, recently of Marton, and now of Tikokino. The boy was attempting to recover a football from the flooded creek when he overbalanced and fell /in. His mother jumped into the creek after the boy, but he was swept downstream.
