FATAL INJURIES Victim Identified

A pedestrian who was struck by a motor-cycle in Cambridge terrace, near Manchester street, at 6.45 p.m. on Thursday, died in the Christchurch Public Hospital from severe head injuries early yesterday morning. He was John William Richardson, aged 40, of 197 Kilmore street, Christchurch. Mr Richardson, who has no relatives in New Zealand, was not identified until last evening, although many persons went to the hospital in response to police broadcasts. He was a partner in a sawmilling business at Ashburton.
