FARM SAFETY WEEK

Residential Course At Lincoln

The safe handling of poisons, tractors, firearms, and machinery, prevention of drownings and road accidents, and first aid will be among the subjects discussed at a residential school at Canterbury Agricultural College, Lincoln, during farm safety week, to be held, under the auspices of the National Safety Association, from Monday, June 10, to Friday, June 14.

About 30 farm safety officers from Young Farmers’ Clubs will attend the course, and will hear lectures by members of the college staff and officers of the Health, Agriculture, Labour, andTransport Departments, the Christchurch Fire Board, and the safety association.
