MINESWEEPER AT LYTTELTON
Reservists And Sea
Cadets For Training The Bathurst-class minesweeper Stawell arrived at Lyttelton yesterday morning from Auckland, via Wellington, where she called fc fuel.
Today, the Stawell will take aboard a mixed party of naval reservists for sea training. The reservists are from Christchurch, Wellington and Dunedin. The Stawell will sail tomorrow and join H.M.S. St. Bride’s Bay up the coast on Monday when exercises will be carried out. The Stawell will then proceed to Picton and is to return to Lyttelton on Friday, On the next two week-ends the Stawell will take aboard parties of Sea Cadets for sea training . Both the frigate St. Bride’s Bay and the Stawell will be at Timaru from May .21 to 23.
