May 2 Stumps scores in today’s cricket matches were:— Glamorgan 253 (Watkins 62) ana 125 for six declared (Hilton four for 13), drew with Somerset. 257 for nine declared (Tripp 74, Tremlett 55), and 86 for five, in a two-day friendly match at Taunton. Lancashire, 265 and 6 without loss, beat Oxford University 104 (Tattersail four for 15) and 165 (Eager 73) by 10 wickets at Oxford. Surrey 318 for eight declared and 199 for six (Clark 99). M.C.C. 149 (Gray 50: Laker four for 27). at Lords. Yorkshire 348 for nine declareo and 157 for five declared; Cambridge University 159 (Green 75, Trueman seven for 37 and one for 14). at Cambridge.
