Buoyant selling conditions prevailed, and the market for the full range closed at the highest point of the week, with values tending in sellers’ favour. West and East Europe, the United Kingdom, Japan, and local mills operated, with the United States more active than usual. Prices included: Super 6O’s» 114 d; super 58’s, 108 d; super 56’s, 102 d; super 50’s, 96d.
Brisbane Market Buoyant In Brisbane today values were fully firm on yesterday’s improved rate, and the sales closed on a buoyant note, at par to 2| per cent, higher than Monday’s opening.
There was a full clearance of 16.500 bales offered. The Continent, Britain, and Japan provided good competition throughout the sales.
