Average price per pound for the 30,866 bales of wool sold in Wanganui on April 3 was 55.066 d. It was the highest since the wool boom of 1950-51.

An average price of 51.33 d was paid in January at Wanganui, and the average per pound at the November • fixture was 52.881 d. The best seasonal average for Wanganui since + he boom was 46.933 d in 1953-54.
