NO BACKLOG OF PASSENGERS

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 14.

The strike by Qantas Empire Airways pilots has as yet caused no undue inconvenience to New Zealand air passengers using Qantas. A spokesman lor Tasman Empire Airways, Ltd., said yesterday that Pan American Airways, Canadian Pacific Airlines, and the British Overseas Airways Corporation were “finding room” for Teal passengers who would normally have transferred to Qantas aircraft. There was no backlog of passengers at Auckland, Nandi, or Sydney, but the position might deteriorate if the strike continued, he said.
