FACIAL ECZEMA RESEARCH

Fanners Critical Of Comment (New Zealand Press Association) HAMILTON. Apri 14. A statement by the superintendent of the Ruakura Animal Research Station (Dr. C. P. McMeekan) that facial eczema is not a killing disease and economically not a significant factor, was criticised by members at the annual meeting of the Hamilton sub-province of Federated Farmers. The statement was described by one delegate as ridiculous and unjustified. The chairman of the meat and wool section (Mr W. Moore) referred to it as an amazing statement, and added: “I wonder if Dr. McMeekan has discussed the matter with the banks, stock and station agents, or perhaps the Inland Revenue Department?”
