British Petrol Price Down
(Rec. 9 p.m.) LONDON, April 11. Britain’s major oil companies today announced a reduction of a penny a gallon in the price of petrol and all oils except lubricating oil. On Tuesday the Government removed the extra shilling a gallon tax imposed on petrol for the duration of the Suez crisis.
The reason given for the latest decrease was improvement in supplies.
