Reconsideration By Local Bodies

The establishment of a factfinding committee decided upon by the annual conference of South Island Local Bodies Association in Invercargill last September is to be referred back to the next conference. This was resolved by the association’s executive in Christchurch yesterday on the ground of much contention among members on the subject, and especially contention with a proposal to double subscriptions in order to foot the bill for the committee’s work.
