TRENTHAM MATCH
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 11. El Khobar and Coleridge will both carry 9-0 in the invitation match race arranged for the second day of the Wellington Racing Club’s meeting at Trentham on Saturday. Subject to both horses being fit the Trentham Invitation Stakes will be run over six furlongs at weightv for-age for a stake of £lOOO, of which the winner will receive £750 and the loser the balance. Each owner will be presented with a silver plate worth £BO. El Khobar has drawn the rails. The match will be run at approximately 1 p.m., immediately after the presenation of the ribbon to the winner of the St. Leger, which is the third race on the programme.

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 11. Off-course bets with the Totalisator Agency Board today totalled £78,183 15s, comprised of win-and-place amounting to £39,807 10s, and doubles of £38,376 ss. Figures for each meeting, with off-course substitutes, were:— Taranaki: £65,372 15s (Wee DurGreymouth: £12,811 (Skyrain).
