Scottish Bingen Wins (New Zealand Press Association) TE AWAMUTU, March 10. Rain which set in just before the first race marred the Te Awamutu Trotting Club's autumn meeting on Saturday. Showers which fell with increasing frequency did little, however to affect the running, and times throughout the day were good. All winners bettered their assessments. The totalisator on-course handled £18,344, compared with £24,093 last year. The double, Scottish Bingen and Black Shield, paid £5l 12s 6d for £l. PLACINGS ALTERED AT WASHDYKE After the running of the Seadown ' Handicap an objection was lodged against third placing being awarded to Buren, on the ground of interference to Wimpy. It. was unanimously decided that Buren (T. Thompson) did cause in- ! terference to Wimpy, and he was disqualified. Highland Glory, which finished fourth, was promoted to third. It was found that Thompson 1 did his best to keep his horse straight, and no blame was attached to him. I G. D. Shand and A. J. Bromby i were each fined £1 for driving with a foot out of the rest in the same 1 race. D. McCormack, driver of Jean Able i in the Temuka Handicap, was fined . £S for undue use of hit whip.
