WEST COAST’S WIN
Minor Associations’ Gup Match (From Our Own Reporter) GREYMOUTH, March 10. West Coast won the minor association’s cricket cup in a match at Greymouth this weekend by 135 runs. South Canterbury had all this afternoon to make the 220 runs required for victory, but the West Coast bowling, supported by excellent fielding, was too good for the visitors, who were dismissed in the second innings for 84 runs. A. Taylor, five for 32, was chiefly responsible for South Canterbury’s low score. This is tbe first time the West Coast has won the cup. „ At the tea interval today, Mr T. F. McKenzie, chairman of the West Coast Cricket Association, expressed his pleasure at having the visitors in Greymouth. W. McDonald, the South Canterbury captain, replied.
