FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation: An anti-cyclone over New Zealand is moving slowly eastwards as a trough . of low pressure slowly approaches south-western New Zealand from the Tasman Sea. Forecast:— Westland: Moderate winds from a northerly quarter; cloudy; some rain developing from the south later; mild day temperatures. Outlook; occasional rain. Buller and Nelson: Moderate winds from a northerly quarter; mainly fair, with mild to warm day temperatures. Outlook: cloudy; some showers developing. Marlborough: North-westerlies, fresh in exposed areas; mainly fair and mild. Outlook: clcudy,' some showers developing later. Canterbury: Moderate north-easterlies on the coast and north-westerlies inland: cloudy early on the coast, otherwise mainly fair; day temperatures mild to warm, away from the coast. Outlook: coastal showers developing.
