HALSWELL COUNTY ROADS

TENDERS ACCEPTED FOR SEALING

The Halswell County Council yesterday agreed to let contracts for new and maintenance sealing of 123 chains of roads in the county. The tender of £ 1454 10s by T. E. Elliot and Company, for the new sealing of 60 chains of the Old Tai Tapu road from Sucklings road to the Rhodes Park entrance at Rhodes road was accepted. The council accepted the £893 Ils tender by the same company for the sealing of 33 chains of Cashmere road west of the Christchurch city boundary. The tender of £464 10s by British Pavements, Ltd., was accepted for the maintenance sealing of 30 chains of the Halswell Junction road between Nicholls road and Saby road.
