Shipping Company’s Arrangements
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, January 17. Sir Clifton Webb, High Commissioner for New Zealand in London, Mr F. E. Harmer, chairman of the New Zealand Shipping Company, and Mr H. J. F. Mills, one of the company’s managing directors, will say goodbye to Sir Anthony and Lady Eden when they board the Rangitata at the Royal Albert Docks a few minutes before the ship sails. A company spokesman has said that the Edens have been given the best double room and bath that could be produced in the short time available. “It is a large room and they can isolate themselves and have meals there if they wish,” he said. If necessary Sir Anthony Eden could receive medical attention from the ship’s doctor (Dr. P. Hinds), a general practitioner.
It is reported that Sir Anthony Eden has already improved in health, is much more relaxed, and in better spirits than when he left' 10 Downing street last week. He is resting in carefully guarded seclusion at Chequers.
