Clashes In Rumania
VIENNA, Jan. 17. Thirty persons died in serious clashes between Bulgarian and Rumanian citizens in the Rumanian province of Dobrudja, near the delta of the river Danube, the Vienna newspaper “Neuer Kurier.” reported today. The report, which could not be confirmed from official sources, said that members of the Bulgarian minority in the province had tried to set free Hungarians in a concentration camp near Cernavoda. This led to clashes between the Bulgars and the Rumanian population which spread later to the towns of Rasova and Manralia. Thirty persons including one priest, were said to have been killed. A strict curfew had been imposed and more than 200 arrests had been made.
