FAST MILE BY G. F. HACK The junior mile runner. G. F. Hack, returned the best performance of the evening when the Christchurch Technical College Amateur Athletic Club began its club championships at Ensors road last i evening. Hack took the lead in the junior mile. 160 yards fr.om the finish, and narrowly beat D. Reece, who had made all the earlier pace. ; The race was run in the good time , of 4min 29.55ec. A surprise in the 100 yards open 1 championship was the defeat of R. L. Gaskell and B. S. Hunt by D. R. Stephens.
