Princess Margarita Engaged

(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 7 p.m.) BONN, Jan. 2. Princess Margarita of Baden, a niece of the Duke of Edinburgh, and Prince Tomislav of Jugoslavia have become engaged according to an official announcement in Bonn.

The golden-haired, 23-year-old princess is the daughter of the Margrave of Baden, senior representative of the House of Badenia. Her mother, the Margruvine. is a sister of the Duke of Edinburgh. She was voted the prettiest princess on the Royal cruise around the Greek islands in the Agamemnon in the summer of 1953. She qualified as a nurse at St. Thomas’s Hospital, London.

Prince Tomislav, who is 29 and a brother of former King Peter, has been farming near Petworth in Sussex with his brother Prince Andrei.
