INTERNATIONAL FORCE
Sir,—Mr Nehru’s proposal for Middle East demilitarisation may have a wide influence. The whole world may gradually follow suit and then establish an effective international army to which each country would contribute, making this body stronger than any individual national force, but permitting each country to have a force big enough only to keep order within its own borders. This is the only medium by which global wars can be prevented.—Yours, etc., ANTHONY VOYKOVIC. Oamaru, December 27, 1956.
