BURSARY IN DRAMA
Award To Miss P. Frost Miss Paddy Frost, of Christchurch, who has been awarded a Government bursary for two years’ tuition at a drama school in England, expects to leave New Zealand in August to begin the new school year in mid-Septem-ber. Before then. Miss Frost will probably do another tour with the New Zealand Players. Now 21, Miss Frost has appeared in several productions of the Canterbury Repertory Society. She made her debut in “Happiest Days of Your Life,” in which she took the leading schoolgirl role. For 1 the Canterbury University Col-1 lege Drama Society, she has produced plays and taken part in others. For about eight months, Miss Frost was a student with the New Zealand Players, and last year toured with “Twelfth Night.” “Salad Days,” and “The Solid Gold Cadillac.” During the last six weeks of the “Salad Days” tour, she took over leadipg comedy roles. After leaving Avonside Girls’ High School, Miss Frost undertook an arts course at Canterbury University College.
