Pope’s Blessing For Christmas

VATICAN CITY. December 25. More than 20.000 people shouted a Christrnas greeting to Pope Pius Xn when he appeared for a few moments at the window of his study in the Vatican Palace, high above the crowd. The Pope, who was spending the day in the solitude of his private apartments on the top floor of the Vatican Palace, gave his solemn blessing to the crowds. He ushered in Christmas Day by saying midnight Mass last night in his private chapel, attended only by a handful of members of his household.
