OFFICIAL FORECASTS “The Press'’ Special Sennce WELLINGTON, December 26. The weather forecast, issued at 9 p.m. by the Meteorological Office. Wellington, for the 27 hours after the time of issue, is:— Situation—A trough of low pressure is moving on to NewZealand from the Tasman Sea. Forecast:— Canterbury and the Kaikoura coast: North-west to west winds, mainly moderate; fair weather; warm temperatures. Outlook fair. Marlborough, except the Kaikoura coast: North-west winds decreasing during the morning: areas of drizzle at first: otherwise fair to cloudy; temperatures mild. Outlook unsettled. Nelson.—South-westerly winds, fresh at times: some drizzle this morning, becoming fair by afternoon; mild to warm temperatures. Outlook: rain developing. West Coast.—West to south-west winds predominating: changeable weather, with occasional showers. Outlook: rain spreading from the north.
