ARRANGEMENTS FOR HOLIDAYS

Adequate patrols for six beaches in Canterbury have been provided by the Canterbury Surf Life-saving Association for the school holiday period. A red and yellow flag will be flown from club houses when patrols are on duty. The patrolmen will also wear hats of the same colours for easy identification. The beaches to be patrolled and the patrolmen who will be on duty are as follows: Waimairi, Mr D. Stewart: North Beach, Mr N. Wakefield: New Brighton, Mr N. O’Berg: South Brighton, Mr C. Claxton; Sumner (Clifton), Mr N. Webb; Taylor’s Mistake, Mr R. Sharman.
