Keeping New Zealand Green An appeal for holiday-makers to take all precautions to avoid startine forest fires was made by the Minister of Forests (Mr G. W. Smith) last evening. If there was good weather over the holidays there would be a high fire hazard in and around the countrys forests, he said. People should observe commonsense precautions, put out all camp-fires and extinguish all cigarette butts.—(P.A.)
