Progress On Museum Building

The concrete construction work on the new wing at the Canterbury Museum is now almost complete. Only the floor of the large ground-floor Maori hall remains to be laid. The masons expect to finish their year-long job on the stone facing next February and the brick partitions and exterior plaster work are well in hand.

This was reported to the Canterbury Museum Trust Board yesterday by the museum s director, Dr. Roger Duff.
