BOY SAVED FROM DROWNING
PULLED INTO WATER BY BIG FISH (New Zealana Press Association) AUCKLAND. December 20. A 12-year-old boy was rescued from the Waitemata harbour today by two Tasman Empire Airways instrument mechanics. The boy, Malcolm Royce Evans, son of Mr and Mrs H. R. Evans, of 8 Richborne street, Kingsland, was unconscious when brought ashore, but was revived with the aid of oxygen equipment. __ e . n Mr D. A. Armstrong and Mr D. Nelson, the two mechanics, heard cries on the seaward side of the deflector at Mechanics Bay. Mr Armstrong ran down to a jetty and dived in fully clothed, although not a strong swimmer.
