UNITED STATES AIRCRAFT NAMED AFTER CHRISTCHURCH.—The City of Christchurch painted on the nose of a Globemaster troop-carrier of the United States Antarctic expedition. The plane will be formally named by the Mayor of Christchurch (Mr R. M. Macfarlane, M.P.) at the Harewood airport this afternoon.
