Refugees Arrive In U.S.

(Rec. 9 p.m.) NEW YORK, Nov. 21. The nrst of the Hungarian refugees reached Camp Kilmer, New Jersey, today from Vienna.

Among the greetings was a promise of “peace and tranquillity” from the United States Army Secretary, Mr Wilber Brucker.

The chartered four-engine plane with 28 families aboard—62 men, women and children—arrived at McGuire Air Force base near Camp Kilmer, which has been refitted as their temporary home. Posted over the gates of the camp was a big sign in Hungarian: “God has brought you.”
