EASIER TENDENCY IN PRICES
Prices paid at Smithfield this week tended to ease, according to the Imported Trade Association’s weekly report. Prices for New Zealand crossbred wethers and maiden ewes were lower. but ewe and lamb prices were mainly steady. Frozen beef prices were a shade easier. First quotations if the season for Australian lamb included 231 d for first qualitv 29-361b This is Ud below the price for New Zealand lamb in the same category.
