EXPORT BEEF SCHEDULE
BONER BULL NOW TOP PRICE
Boner bull is now the most highlvpriced grade of beef in the South Island.
The latest export schedule gives the price of boner bull as 85s per 1001 b —an increase of 10s pere 1001 b on the price in the schedule issued three weeks ago. A rise of 5s to 80s leaves baby beef, before the addition of the deficiency payment, 5s below the boner bull price. As baby beef killed for export qualifies for a deficiency payment of 5s 3d per 1001 b, the gross return to the producer of this class of meat is 3d above the boner bull price. The increases in the baby beef and boner bull prices are the only changes in the latest schedule, which will come into force on Monday. The deficiency payments are unchanged at 5s 3d on baby, ox and heifer beef, and 2s Id on g.a.q. cow
