CRICKET N.Z. WOMEN’S TEAM
Australian Tour Next Month
Three Canterbury players are included in the New Zealand women’s cricket team of 14 players, which will begin a tour of Australia late next month. The team was selected at the conclusion of the Hallyburton-Johnstone shield tournament yesterday. The team is:—
R. McKenzie (Auckland, captain)., A. Tini (Canterbury), J. Coulston (Wellington). J. Clothier (Auckland), M. Speight (Otago), G. Sutherland (Wellington), J. Stonell (Wellington), B. Thorner (Wellington). I. van Leyden (Auckland). A. Morrison (Wellington), J. Browne (Auckland). B. Duncan (Auckland). V. Coutts (Canterbury). P. Blackler (Canterbury). Mrs I. Lamason (Wellington) has been appointed manageress.
