ALLOCATION OF STATE HOUSES

Sir.—" Human Justice’s” letter is quite true. I have had an application in for a State house for just over 10 years. I have had notice to vacate my present house, which I have occupied for 24 years, as the property has been sold When I approached the State Housing Department thev told me that I was well housed but that if an eviction order was made against me I would be considered. As for not getting in direct contact with the committee. I have my doubts, as some people seem to have no trouble at all in getting into one. You are not considered if you already occupy a house or have no family, no matter how long your application has been in.—Yours, etc., STILL WAITING. October 19. 1956.
