(Rec, 11.30 p.m.) NEW DELHI, September 21. A clerk in India’s External Affairs Ministry has been arrested after investigations into the reported theft of top-secret files on the Suez Canal negotiations, the newspaper “Indian Express” said today. The newspaper said the correspondence was between the Indian Prime Minister. Mr Nehru, and President Nasser. Authorities investigating the disappearance of the files believed that some of them were sold to two foreign Powers, the newspaper said. The newspaper did not name the Powers alleged to be involved. Official circles in New Delhi refused to confirm or deny reports of an alleged leakage of top secret information. Airline Awarded Damages.—The Commonwealth has been ordered to pay Trans-Oceanic Airways, Ltd., £31.000 for damage to a Solent flyingboat. The flying-boat crashed into a dredge while taking off for Port Moresby.—Sydney, September 21.
