STREET NAME BOARDS
Sir,—My thanks to “M.T.” The name boards in Waimairi County streets are a credit to the county, while those in Christchurch city are a disgrace, even in new streets recently opened. There is a fundamental weakness somewhere in the control of this city. Progressive action is lacking and there is no inducement for outside areas to join the city in these conditions.—Yours, etc., CIVIS. August 16, 1956.
