MINOR FIRES

One machine from the Sydenham fire station attended a chimney fire at 4 Cracroft terrace at 12.27 p.m. yesterday. The occupier of the premises is the Rev. J. Galvin. There was no damage. At 5.30 p.m. yesterday, one machine from the Sockburn fire station attended a chimney fire at 355 A Blenheim road, a property owned by Mi E. Ferguson. No damage was done bi the fire. The faulty construction of a chimney caused a small fire at the back of a space heater in premises at 53 Winsor crescent. Spreydon. owned by Mr A G Christensen, at 10 p.m. yesterday. Two units —from the Sydenham and Central fire stationsattended the fire. Slight damage was done to the woodwork, studs and plaster surrounding the space heater
